The 2020 Way to Wear a Leather Jacket

It’s not uncommon to hear the phrase “leather jacket” and automatically think of the classic moto style we all own at least one of. After all, the basic has reigned supreme for years, if not decades with every brand having its own version and every price point containing endless options. However, these days (among the fashion set at least), an entirely different style of leather jacket is on everyone’s radar and, of course, Instagram feed. It’s the leather blazer that, in line with the overarching tailoring trend that’s been taking over for several seasons, has started to steal the spotlight from its edgier counterpart. They can be found on every trendy shopping site, every influencer, and every stylish girl from coast to coast and country to country.

So naturally, when we saw this shift begin to happen, we knew that we needed to get our own Who What Wear collection on board. As we always do with the must-have items of the moment, we designed our very own leather blazer (complete with a figure-flattering belt) for less than $40 because that’s just what we do. To see and shop the blazer (and get all the outfit inspo you could possibly need), just keep scrolling.

This is an outfit I think we’re going to see on countless street style stars all throughout fashion month.

Don’t be afraid to mix black and brown—especially in leather.

A cinched waist makes all the difference.

There’s no such thing as too much leather right now.

For a fun play on texture, combine your leather jacket with knitwear and suede.

You can never go wrong styling any jacket with jeans and a T-shirt.

Our belted leather blazer looks especially cool with a leather skirt.

A classic look I’d wear anywhere from the office to a night out.

If, like me, you’re not that into color but want to venture away from all black, try a graphic black-and-white look.
