Save up too $30 off at Amazon with a new Citi promotion (Targeted)

Citi is an MMS advertising partner.

Right now some Amazon accounts are being targeted with an offer to save 20% off your purchase (up to $30 in savings) when you pay with a single Citi ThankYou point. You’ll need to have an eligible card registered with Amazon Shop with points to qualify.

This targeted deal is valid through Sept. 30, 2020. You can check this link to see if you qualify. Here are the details of the offer:

Amazon Citi promotion

The end date for the Amazon Citi ThankYou points deal is Sept. 30, 2020. Just like with the other Amazon credit card deals with Chase, Amex and Discover, only items sold and shipped by Amazon will qualify and digital content doesn’t count.

You can see if you qualify for the offer and activate it here.

One of the best parts of this deal is that you can use it to save on many third-party gift cards sold by Amazon, think Whole Foods, Starbucks, Southwest Airlines, Best Buy, Uber and more. So even if you don’t have anything to buy from Amazon right now, it could make sense to stock on gift cards before the deal goes away.

The terms of this deal also say that after you activate the deal “Citi ThankYou Points will be temporarily set as default payment method at checkout for a duration of six hours, unless you manually update your payment option.” So if you happen to make another Amazon purchase within that time period be sure that you aren’t paying for the purchase with your ThankYou points.

This article here will show you what to do step by step to make sure you don’t accidentally spend all your ThankYou points.

Citi Cards that earn ThankYou points

Here are the best Citi cards with which you can earn Citi ThankYou points:

  • Citi Premier℠ Card: Best overall travel card
  • Citi Rewards+℠ Card: Best for small purchases
  • Citi Prestige® Card: Best for travel perks

And if you have any of the cards above, you can convert the rewards you earn with the Citi® Double Cash Card to ThankYou points, too.

The information for the Citi Premier and Citi Prestige has been collected independently by Million Mile Secrets. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.
