Princess Beatrice Just Got Engaged With a Massive Ring That Could Spark a Trend

Well, we have another royal wedding to look forward to, folks! It was just announced that Princess Beatrice, cousin of Princes Harry and William and sister of Princess Eugenie, got engaged to boyfriend Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi earlier this month in Italy. The couple has been together for about a year but are longtime friends. The wedding is to take place in 2020.

In newly released photos of the couple (taken by Princess Eugenie herself), the happy couple shows off the bride-to-be’s stunning ring, which was designed by Mozzi in collaboration with British jewelry designer Shaun Leane. And as is often the case with royal engagement rings, it’s dripping with diamonds. While it’s quite classic (also often the case with royal engagement rings), we’re predicting that the long baguettes flanking the large round solitaire diamond lends an art deco vibe that could quickly spark a new trend. Hey, the more diamonds the better, right?
