I Only Want to Wear Wide-Leg Jeans, So I’m Investing in These 3 Pieces

If you’re anything like me, wide-leg jeans are all you can think about right now when it comes to denim. This loose silhouette is a welcome change from the skinnier fits that have dominated the trend cycle for years. Every time I see a good wide-leg jeans outfit while scrolling through Instagram, I can’t help but save it to replicate later since styling this silhouette can be tricky.

I noticed a few common items among all my saved wide-leg jeans outfits, with fashion girls across the globe all seeming to gravitate toward the same pieces to pair with them. After taking notes, I decided that it would be in my best interest to invest in said pieces since this spring I plan on my wide-leg jeans being on heavy rotation. From the pretty top style that makes light-wash jeans look polished to the shirt style that will make your outfit combo feel extremely 2020, below are the three best pieces to wear with wide-leg jeans.

A pretty printed blouse tucked into high-waisted wide-leg jeans has a slightly ’70s feel but always manages to feel super polished. The contrast between the vibes of the two pieces elevates the jeans instantly.

Even light-wash wide-leg jeans (which typically have a more relaxed feeling) look polished and put together with the addition of a pretty top.

The contrast of the sleek, fitted bodysuit against the loose denim style feels so modern. Just add a polished shoe and you have an outfit that’s ready to go just about anywhere this spring.

The tight fit throughout the bodysuit perfectly balances out the loose silhouette of this denim style.

Leather shirts are a major spring 2020 trend themselves, so pairing one with your wide-leg jeans is an outfit that’s just waiting for compliments. The relaxed fits of both the top and bottom pieces give off an effortless vibe.

You can also tuck your leather shirt in to highlight your waist and create an unexpected outfit.

I have these in a lighter wash and have truly never gotten more compliments on a pair of jeans before. They’re ultra-flattering and insanely comfortable.

These could easily be mistaken for vintage.

This wash is so good.

The tailoring makes these feel polished enough for the office.

Love the raw hem.

Now these look rich.

White feels so fresh for spring.

Another vintage-looking wash.

The perfect hue for spring.

I want to copy this entire outfit.

The wide hem feels retro (in a good way).

You can tell these are comfortable.

Next up: I always get compliments on my denim outfits—these are the formulas I swear by.
