I Hate to Brag, But I’m Really Good at Gift Shopping—Here Are My Top 25 Picks

Most Wanted is a weekly series in which one Who What Wear team member or friend of the brand will share the top 25 finds on their current wish list.

Ask any editor and they’ll tell you that fielding requests for gift ideas is part of the job. This year, I’ve been asked for all kinds of reccies for all kinds of people and budgets, and my suggestions have, for the most part, fallen into three categories that feel very apt for 2020: beauty tools and products (think good haircare and devices to use while we can’t have our usual appointments), winter fashion (from trend pieces on a budget to investment outerwear), and home buys (to make a living space just a little more lovely, since we’ll all apparently be here for the foreseeable future).

In more good news (and couldn’t we all do with some!) loads of these finds are on sale right now, so I’ve included all the discount codes and such below as well—you’re very welcome.

The perfect little designer moment at a very friendly price. Even more so considering Luisa Via Roma is gifting us 40% off selected full-priced items. (Yes, including this Jacquemus keychain, which brings it down to about $70.) Just use the code BF40.

I own this sweater, and it’s stupidly soft. Stupidly, stupidly soft. Such a good gift that looks and feels way more expensive than it is.

Navy Hair Care gets a double thumbs up from our beauty editors for being paraben-free and vegan, good for all hair types, as well as color, extension, and Keratin friendly—all things that make it a universally good gift. This kit will give someone’s hair a little TLC between verrrry stretched-out salon appointments.

If you’re looking to spend a little less, this mask is truly a gift in and of itself. Also, before I forget, use the code NAVYHOLIDAYS for 30% off sitewide through December.

I don’t care how much loungewear someone already owns, they will love these. (On a side note, why don’t more pants come with pockets?)

Parisian brand Polène truly makes the most exquisite leather handbags at such a great price point and in so many chic neutrals. This is my favorite, but seriously, have a browse (and definitely do not miss its small leather goods section if you’re more in the mood for a $50 to $70 buy).

Obviously, my preference is the head-to-toe look, but feel free to get started with this unbelievably soft recycled cashmere scarf.

This, in a frame, either hanging in a kitchen or leaning against the wall in a WFH space. Very chic. The limited-edition collaboration between artist Elissa Barber and editor-favorite stationery brand An Organised Life also has a whole lot of stylish diaries and notebooks on offer, so be sure to explore.

I love The North Face, and I love gifts that basically feel like the warm hug I can’t give my friends and family this very weird year. Also, they’re offering 50% off select styles through November 30 (so get in quick).

This comes in many more colors.

Speaking of fashion on sale, don’t sleep on The Kooples right now. They’re offering an extra 30% discount sitewide, plus Black Friday exclusives up to 80% off. On-trend without being “trendy,” mock-croc accessories make great gifts in general.

This gift pack is already a steal since it’s $59 in value, but even better, Malin + Goetz will treat you to its Essentials Kit as a gift with purchase if you spend $100. It includes minis of its six top-selling products (and yes, it includes its extremely delicious grapefruit face cleanser). Have a peek around its gifting section for more yummy things that are conveniently packaged up in cute gift boxes for you.

These pants are brought to you by my favorite competition of 2020: “How Many Days in a Row Can One Wear the Same Loungewear Before Anyone Notices?”

Hammitt has put together a handful of holiday gift bundles, but this one’s my favorite. It includes its leather scrunchie, black silk mask, leather scarf, and leather conditioner so this lucky person can take proper care of all their bags and such.

Also, the leather scrunchie is my pick for a virtual gift exchange.

Okay, onto the beauty tools. This little guy gets rave reviews and promises 10 years of “flashes” when used as recommended, plus Kenzii is offering $50 off and free shipping with code H50.

And this gentle at-home microdermabrasion set is perfect for anyone who loves the satisfaction of seeing their pores be cleared of impurities.

Another one for those who really miss getting facials—this medical-grade LED wand delivers red-light therapy safely at home, reducing puffiness and the appearance of wrinkles, promoting cell turnover, and helping serums absorb better. Use the code THANKFUL for 35% off until December 7.

Speaking of serums, this is a particularly good one to create a little gift set. (FYI, the code THANKFUL will get you 50% off all of Trophy skincare products as well.)

My obsession with bucket bags continues. I found this hot little number at Vince Camuto.

The properly warm winter jacket we all aspire to own (and that, every year, we hope someone will finally buy us).

Pomellato obviously makes amazing cocktail rings (link to my favorite, in case anyone’s wondering), but it’s definitely worth a mention that the heritage Italian brand also offers beautiful things for the minimalists among us.

I love anything even remotely related to rosewater. This limited edition Chantecaille set makes an excellent gift as it’s also friendly to sensitive skin types (thanks to its calming properties that are great for reducing redness as well as gently hydrating). Plus, it obviously smells amazing.

Let it be said, Rachel Greene would own this leather coat.

Sam Edelman’s diffusion footwear line offers 10/10 trend moments at obscenely friendly prices. I own these in black and highly recommend.
