5 Best Hilton Hotels in the US With Points — Use the Amex Hilton Card Limited-Time Offers

INSIDER SECRET: Just because an award redemption doesn’t meet the average value for “cents per point”, doesn’t mean the redemption isn’t valuable. Things like location and perks often get overlooked when it comes to comparing cash value versus points. Keep those overlooked benefits in mind when determining an award redemption’s value.

Hilton is one of the largest hotel chains in the world. With over 5,600 hotels in 113 countries and no award chart, it can be daunting to narrow down the best Hilton hotels in the US to book with points.

Hotels range from upscale places like Conrad and Waldorf Astoria, to your more moderate Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites. Standard award rooms range between 5,000 and 95,000 points per night, unless you take advantage of the fifth night free perk for those with elite Hilton status, which can save you a ton of points.

The Hilton Honors Aspire Card from American Express offer still is the same as before — you’ll earn 150,000 Hilton points after spending $4,000 on purchases in the first three months of account opening.

When booking a Hilton award stay, you should aim for an redemption value of  at least 0.5 cents per point spent since that’s the typical value of Hilton points. But remember, even if you’re getting less than 0.5 cents per point, the redemption could still be top-notch due to location, perks and convenience.

Take a look at the Hilton Points Explorer to see how many points you might need for your award stay.

1. Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills

Ever wonder what it’s like to live like a Hollywood movie star? If so, you might want to pay a visit to the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills. Rooms here are normally quite expensive and can go for around $700 per night, but you can book the same rooms for 95,000 Hilton points instead.

You’d be getting great value of ~0.73 cents per point, a good amount more than the baseline value of 0.5 cents per point!

And if you’re planning to stay for more than a few nights, you can do even better.

With Hilton’s fifth night free perk, you could get over $3,500 in value with just 380,000 Hilton points. That’s a value of 0.92 cents per point.

2. Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort

Hawaii is another popular destination for anyone on a honeymoon or just looking for a relaxing vacation. If you’re looking to get away and really relax, check out the Grand Wailea Hotel, a luxury oceanfront resort in Maui. Team member Jasmin just spent five nights at the Grand Wailea with her family and saved a ton using Hilton points.

Rooms are pricey. We found rooms consistently for around $700 per night, but you can hang onto your cash by booking with 95,000 Hilton points per night (a value of ~0.73 cents per point).

If you stay long enough to take advantage of the fifth night award free perk, you’d be getting at least $3,500 in value for just 380,000 Hilton points. That’s a value of 0.92 cents per point.

3. Hilton Nashville Downtown

Hilton Nashville Downtown is the closest hotel to Broadway and is extremely popular for folks visiting the downtown Nashville area.

You can often get over 0.5 cents per point when redeeming for an award stay and you can’t beat the convenience factor, making this an incredible place to stay.

You’ll be walking distance from some of the most popular attractions in Nashville and some of the best food. In fact, it’s been known as a great place to use the restroom, even if you’re not staying there. ?

4. Hilton Times Square

Hilton Times Square is located in the heart of it all and you can’t ask for a better location to access the Times Square area. With cash prices ranging from $250-$500 per night, there’s a lot of influence on the time of the year and events on the cash price of the stay.

Things like the Rockefeller tree lighting, September 11th and Christmas tend to inflate the cash price, so you’ll get your best redemption value around these times.

Aside from that, booking this hotel can be very convenient due to it’s location and I’d argue that staying here, even at a redemption rate less than 0.5 cents per point, is worth it every single time.

5. Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista – Disney Springs Area

Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista – Disney Springs Area is a bit of a curve-ball compared to the above.

This resort offers spectacular Disney benefits and is a top pick for best Hilton hotels to book in the US with points. When you book an award stay, the $35 resort fee will be waived but you’ll still get all the same perks like a free shuttle to theme parks, free water bottles and access to special Disney privileges like Magic Hours.

Depending on the time on year, you might end up getting much less than 0.5 cents per point. But with the added resort bonuses, especially with Disney, the redemption is worth much more than meets the eye.

Bottom Line

Hilton hotels are everywhere and Hilton Honors points are easy to earn with these limited-time Hilton credit card promotions.

The Hilton Honors Aspire Card from American Express doesn’t have a limited-time offer, but comes with a whopper bonus of 150,000 Hilton points after spending $4,000 on purchases in the first three months of account opening.
